I’ve been using my clear internet to stream fitness classes more and more lately. I found this awesome gym in my neighborhood that records some of their fitness classes and posts them online. I though that was such a great idea since I love fitness classes, but their scheduled times don’t always work for me. I’ve really been trying hard to get in shape in the last couple of months because my husband and I want to have a baby. I am terrified that if I don’t get in great shape before I get pregnant I’ll end up having a harder time losing the weight after the baby is born. I also think that if my body is in good shape I’ll be more comfortable during the pregnancy and have a healthier baby. I’ve been eating pretty poorly lately because I’ve been working a lot and I don’t want our poor little baby to suffer because I’ve been lazy. I know I need to change my habits, and I think I’m on the right track. The online classes have really been a lifesaver since I can do them on my own schedule.

=Well, I'm glad I finally decided to read the Twilight Saga series book after seeing the first movie. I got hooked and now I'm dying to see the last two movies.

2) What's the weirdest pregnancy craving you've heard of?
=Well, eating a sand? I heard about it when group of old women were talking about weird cravings one afternoon. It was weird but being pregnant I think nothing is absurd.

3) What's the most ridiculous reason you've ever heard for someone getting a divorce?
=Oh, let me think. I've been watching this show "Divorce Court" and some of the reason that some couple were divorcing is due to his wife is wearing wigs! And, one wife also divorcing her husband because of the way he dress. It has to match colors. Do they supposed to know before they tie the knot? Weirdos!

4) One of Tuesday's trending topics on Twitter was "What You Find In Ladies' Handbags." What are a couple things you never leave home without?
=As a lady, I always have my lip gloss with me and make up!

5) What's the oldest piece of clothing you have in your closet? Do you still wear it?
=Oh my favorite denim jacket. I bought it almost 9 years ago and I still have it. I lose and gain weight, but still keeping them.

6) If you had your own radio show, how would you sign off or end the show? What would you say?
=Well, I would say, "Thanks for listening and accompanying me through out the night, I will be back tomorrow with my time and looking forward to hear from my listeners again.

7) Have you ever picked up (or would you ever pick up) a hitchhiker?
=NO. That's not a good thing to do nowadays! I'm quite cautious about it.

8) If you sent a "friend request" on Facebook to someone you knew very well, and they denied the request, what do you do?
=Well, I would just ignore! I don't care! I think she/he doesn't like me to be his/her facebook friend. Who cares!

Shipping Deadlines for Christmas 2011

Last month, my sisters in law were done shopping for Christmas already! I thought of maybe she was shopping every day, but not really. Her husband was decided to just shop online while saving money. Do you know that during Black Friday Deals, you can find wide selection of online sale from electronics, clothing, games, and a lot more! Just like when you shop at the store by searching the Christmas Shipping Deadlines 2011 where you can still place your order and receive it before Christmas. Plus, most of the online store offered free shipping and handling. Aside from free shipping, a lot of stores also offered discount coupons, promotion codes such as Apple Store Coupons. What more could you ask for than saving money?

=Well, maybe wearing it twice is good enough for me before they move to a washer.

=LOL! Yes,I would laugh out loud! No,not really, maybe I will ask her about it.

3) If you were in an accident, what superhero would you like to be rescued by?
=Superman, maybe?

4) If the shoes really do make the man (or woman), what do the shoes you're wearing right now (or the ones you wore last if you're barefoot) say about you?
=well, the shoes I wore last time is flat shoes which shows my simplicity and humbleness.

5) If you get ten minutes to interview any celebrity of your choice, who would you like it to be?
=Well, I would interview No one..lol! I don't really have any favorite celebrity. Maybe, I will just interview my favorite actor Jennifer Aniston or Sandra Bullock.

6) I was appalled last week when my boyfriend and best friend both said they had never seen the original "Footloose" movie. Is there a movie you've never seen that people give you a hard time for not having seen?
=Yes, the star wars movies. I never seen a footloose movie either.

7) With Halloween approaching... Would you spend (or have you already spent) a night in a supposedly haunted house?
=Nope. I would rather be at my own house. Why do I?

8) If you had your own clothing line, what would it be called?
=JoyofFashion I think. I just made it up right in there! I think I have to think about it first.

A few weeks ago we went into town to the library. We logged onto http://get.wildblue.com/internet-provider/indiana/n/nora/ so that we could get satellite internet. My kids always enjoy going to the library on the weekends and getting on the internet. We live so far out, that we have never had the traditional servers. I recently found out about satellite internet. I am so happy that we are not going to have to run back and forth to town to do little things on the internet and can now do them for home. The kids I know will especially enjoy it. They often are assigned projects at school where they have to do current research or look up articles on the internet. Now, they will be able to get everything done sooner. They also won’t have to rush when they are using public computers because of the time limit. I think that it will also be helpful for me too. I love to read the newspaper, but really haven’t had access to anything but the local papers. I love to get on-line and read Huffington Postand CNN.com. There is so just much happening in the world that you miss without having the internet at your house!

=I would pick an actor Matt Damon because I want to own all of the eposides of the movie Bourne.

=Well, it always on my mind now the song that goes...What a wonderful world!

3) Today (Oct. 12) is "International Moment of Frustration Scream Day." What is one of the most frustrating things you've had to deal with lately?
=Maybe of being alone and can't able to drive with my kids and be out of the house for quite a while. Having small children is pain, I hate being outside not to deal with crabby and crying babies.

4) Mad Men, one of the most popular TV shows in the U.S., focuses on the advertising industry in the 1960's. What do you think of the advertising industry today?
=I think it is better than before because of the high technology and the way some companies deliver their marketing strategy.

5) Today is also "National Bring Teddy Bear to Work Day." Do you remember ever having a special teddy bear that meant a lot to you? If so, tell me about the bear.
=Oh I remember when I was a teenager I used to have a teddy bear in purple color given by my dear big sister when she left out of the house because she got married. I always tucked it in with me because I missed her so much.

6) Actor George Clooney recently told People Magazine that he doesn't use Twitter "because I will drink in the evening and I don't want anything that I could possibly write at midnight to actually end my career." What is something you've said through social media and then regretted it?
=Well, I don't drink so it is not my problem sharing stuff that I will then regret.

7) "Sesame Street" recently got a new puppet — at least for one night. The show introduced a new puppet character named Lily for a special that talked to children about poverty and hunger. If you could create your own puppet, what would it be named and how would it look?
=It would like the same but except it would have brown hair..

8) October is Breast Cancer Awareness Month, and it seems like there are pink products everywhere. Some activists are angry at the businesses selling these pink products because they are using the cause to make a huge profit. Do you think companies are over-doing the pink products or do you feel that it's okay because it's helping raise awareness?
=I think so. It's ok I guess there's nothing wrong with it.

Taste the Fun of T.G.I. FRiDAY’S at Home

When it comes to eating out one of our (my husband and I) favorite restaurant to go to is T.G.I. FRiDAY’S, however, it was about an hour away from where we lived though. So, whenever we had a chance to go to the mall, then we had an opportunity to stop by at T.G.I. FRiDAY’S to grab something to eat since it is only about 5 minutes away then. Although, I wanted to go there more than once a week, I can’t due to its distance and also the traffic is crazy during the late afternoon. Good thing T.G.I. FRiDAY’S has now frozen food available at the grocery store which seemed so easy for me and my husband to prepare.

Actually, I grabbed myself some easy dinner two days ago, a Sesame Orange Chicken. It was so good that by using a microwave oven I could have a meal for less than 5 minutes, the chicken is good and I love the idea of mixing the chicken with rice. It was awesome! I can’t wait to get the other T.G.I. FRiDAY’S “Entrées for One” bold and fun flavors such as Sizzling Steak Fajitas which is one of my husband’s favorite to Cajun-Style Chicken Alfredo. I’m so excited about it. I’m going to buy more!

=I would love to go back to Florida. we went there for a road trip last April of this year with my family. I would love to go back there someday.

2) Apple co-founder Steve Jobs died this week, leaving behind a legacy of valuable technological contributions. What type of legacy do you hope to leave after you die?
=Well, I don't know. Maybe a flying car! Or maybe an automated car which then I don't need to drive.

3) When you’re shopping at a store that includes a self checkout system, do you use the self checkout registers or go through a traditional register being manned by a cashier?
=Well, I love self checkout since I could do anything that I wanted my groceries bagged up.

4) What is the title of a self-help book that you'd never want to see on a store bookshelf?
=Well, I don't have any idea. I couldn't think of anything right now.

5) Can there ever be too much white at a wedding?
=Well, I don't think so. Of course, the bride's wedding gown is white, the table and chair is white, what else. Not too much I guess.

=Hmmm...let me think. I would love to spend time with Edward on a Twilight movie...I could be Bella..

=Hmmm..I wish I could duplicate Red Lobster and Joe's Crab Shack's crab cake.

=well no one really. My husband send me text messages but only for once in a while...So, no one really.

=I would love to learn about Westlife. I love their music and Mark Feehily, even though I found out a few years ago that he was homosexual, that nothing changed. I just love these boys!

2) When you go to your doctor's office, how do you spend your time in the waiting room (reading magazines or newspapers, looking at health-related brochures, checking email on your phone, etc.)?
=I read magazines or play with my phone for a while.

3) Teen superstar Justin Bieber recently rented out the Staples Center to give his girlfriend Selena Gomez a private showing of the movie "Titanic." What movie would you love to have a private showing of?
=I would love to watch the series of the Twilight movie with my husband of course.

4) What would the clothes on your body right now say about your personality?
=For being fit and healthy because they're extra small sizes lol I don't know, I wish they could talk.

=Well, I wasn't really listening to some news about Steve Jobs lately.

7) The movie "50/50" opened in U.S. theaters last week. If you found out you had cancer and was given a 50/50 chance of survival, would you tell everyone you were sick or keep it a secret so people would not treat you differently?
=I would tell them I am sick, why keeping it as a secret. It is better to tell it to someone because then you can spend time with them before you die.

8) If you go on a vacation, do you buy souvenirs for people? If so, who do you make sure you get one for?
=Yes, I do. Well, I was planning on going to my home country Philippines and I was thinking of what to get for my sisters in law.

During my son’s 4th birthday last year, we went to an entertainment center to celebrate it with family and friends. Some of my husband’s nephews and cousins went to play laser tag. I wanted to go and play with them but I have my son to watch out for. So I just didn’t do it and maybe next time I thought.

Anyway, a game called Laser tag seemed to have a similarity of a paintball game, however, paintball game is much likely for adults only. I wanted to try it out with some of my friends and explore how it is like to shot someone and to get shot at. It could be fun, isn’t it? Well, it could be fun if I could able to get my own paintball gear to use during the game. =LOL! Well, I think it is better than nothing, eh? Well, for me, I would appreciate it if they will give me either a $5 worth of Starbucks gift card or McDonald's. I would love food and drinks than pin and key chain lol!

2) The fall season of television is starting. What show are you excited to have return or what new show are you excited to make its first premiere?
=Well, I wanted to watch the new show called "Revenge" it seems so interesting to me. I would watch it tonight at 10 pm central on ABC.

3) One of my favorite restaurants recently added a chocolate fountain. What would be your favorite thing to dip into the chocolate?
=I would love the strawberries and marshmallows!

4) I've bought more things on eBay in the last couple months than ever before. What is the last thing you bought over the internet?
=Well, I think it was a sunglass pouches for my sunglasses.

5) If you come across a homeless person on a street, do you give him or her money?
=Nope. Sorry, but I rather give it to someone whom I know that truly needs it, than buying something like drugs or alcohol.

6) If you knew you were about to die and had the opportunity to write your own obituary, what is something you'd want to make sure is included?
=Well, let's get practical here. We all know we all die. So, for me, I would love my name, my family, my life, and some of my favorite quotes to be added on my obituary.

7) State fair season is in full swing across the U.S. What is your favorite thing to do at a fair?
=I love eating fries and hotdog! LOL! No, I love sending my kids to play at the playground, enjoying some fair rides while I enjoyed some popcorns!

8) By some weird twist of fate, you wake up as another person one morning and must carry on with his or her life. What do you miss most about the person you were before?
=I would miss being my husband's wife, being a mom to a beautiful two kids.

1) Thought Catalog has posted a list of "20 Foods To Avoid On A Date." What is a food you avoid when you're eating with other people?
=Crabs and shrimps! I love eating crabs and shrimps, but if I'm with other people, I will avoid eating them even though it is so hard for me. Except when I order some crab cake or shrimps that doesn't need to peel off its skin while eating.

2) My future husband recently checked the "married" box on official paperwork by accident instead of "single." Have you ever made a funny accident on official paperwork?
=No, but sometimes it happened when I don't read the rest of the instructions. I think it was when me and my husband were filling out a paperwork for passport application for our kids. I accidentally click yes on a question if they were being issued a passport before. I was getting irritated, yet I should click no, duh!

3) The October issue of "Redbook" magazine says 66 percent of its readers like the idea of male engagement rings. How do you feel about engagement rings for men?
=Really? I think it's a good idea. I think it helps them to get reminded that they were engaged and no more playing games around.

4) Today (Sept. 21) is the International Day of Peace. If you were the leader of a country, how would you promote peace among its residents?
=Oh yeah! I saw this on our kitchen calendar. Well, to promote peace we should avoid increasing tax and as much as we could avoid gas price hike because it creates chaos which leads to some people to rob and kill. I don't know, I'm just over exaggerating.

5) Where (or when) do you feel the most peaceful?
=In my home, right in the bedroom where everyone asleep and indeed I'm at peace.

6) Today is World Gratitude Day.What are three things you're grateful NOT to have in your life?
=I'm grateful that we're not sick, or have an illness that was hard to cure.
I'm grateful that despite the circumstances and financial difficulties, my family were still together and happy and contented.
Lastly, I'm grateful that even I'm away from being home with my parents and family around me,I still have family and friends (my husbands) who watch over me.

7) How many pillows are too many pillows on a bed?
=Maybe, 6 pillows. We have four pillows on our bed. But, my husband uses only one and I used 3 pillows.

8) If your bank accidentally deposited an extra $500 to your account, would you alert them to the error or keep the money?
=Well, I would alert them about the error because if it's the error, the bank will know. If I won't tell them, they would know anyhow, so why keep the money? If I will spend the money, I would ended up owing them if the bank knew that they deposited it in my bank account. Just thinking logically here...:))

1) On Twitter, I saw someone say they Googled "Google" the other day. That sounds like a really stupid Google search to me. What was the last thing you Googled?
=I have been googling a lot of things, well, let me remember what was the last time. I think it was the boyfriend of Miss Philippines candidate for Miss Universe 2011. I want to see how her boyfriend look like.

2) What is something you should never say to a woman on her birthday?
=You look old now! LOL! I think that's the worst thing to say ever!

3) While walking through PetSmart this week, I noticed clothing for guinea pigs. What is the most ridiculous thing you've seen recently in a store?
=LOL! Oh, I have seen a lip gloss but it was a pepsi can look alike! LOL! It was cute but funny. A pepsi can lip gloss. I saw it at Walmart today while in line to check out.

=I'm going to grind the fruit loop cereal first, then mix it with grated a cheddar cheese, then use it for breading for making baked chicken strip. Use vodka to wet the chicken breast and mix it with the breading. Then, it's called Vodka Cheesy Fruity Chicken strip.

5) If your favorite pair of shoes suddenly could talk, would you still wear them?
=That's scary! Probably not! I would keep them at home.

6) The National Toy Hall of Fame has announced its finalists for induction this year (Dollhouse, Dungeons & Dragons, Hot Wheels, Jenga, Pogo Stick, Puppet, R/C Vehicles, Rubik’s Cube, Simon, Star Wars Action Figures, Transformers, and Twister). =I would choose the Transformers and r/c vehicles, I think they're pretty cool!

=Yes, I do. I missed playing jack's stone and pick up stick. I think they're fun games that I never get tired of.

8) Last toy question, I promise... Due to the federal government’s ban on the incandescent light bulb, Hasbro's Easy Bake Oven had to be remodeled. Did you ever eat food cooked in an Easy Bake Oven?
=Is it for real? really you can bake there or it is just for pretend? Oh, that's sweet! Obviously, I never did.

1) Last week women on Facebook started another one of those supposed "raise breast cancer awareness" status chains which end up just confusing men. This one had me saying "I'm 14 weeks and craving Skittles." Instantly people started asking me if I was pregnant. This has angered some people (including a blogger who posted a rant about it because she says that "pretending you're pregnant isn't cute"). What do you think of status chains like this?
=I think it is a form of fun for women particularly. Why on earth that some people got mad because you're pretending your pregnant! If a woman said, "I'm 14 weeks and craving Skittles." It doesn't literally mean she's pregnant and have no right to crave! I don't understand. A lot of women find it very offensive too. As for me, it was just a form of fun games and I think there's nothing wrong with it.

2) Do you think people should be able to buy music and share it with everyone he or she wants or should everyone have to purchase the songs themselves?
=I think it is a good idea to share it with friends, I don't think it is very convenient and smart spending to buy the same music because your friend has it. I think sharing is the best thing to do.

3) How often do you (or your significant other) vacuum your house?
=Well, my husband was the one who do the floors. I hate our vacuum because it's too ginormous. I can't even carry it up and down on the second and first floor to the basement. Maybe, I would say twice every two weeks.

4) Monday was National Cheese Pizza Day. What toppings do you like on your pizza?
=Oh, I like the Hawaiian version of pizza with pineapple toppings and bacon.

5) The Thought Catalog has posted a list of great songs to cry to. What is a song that can easily bring you to tears?
=oh, let me think! Oh a song by Bette Medler entitled "Wind Beneath my Wings" and also the Brahms Lullaby. These are very touching songs to me which for some reason, I could relate to someone I loved.

6) Beanie babies were a big craze in the 1990s. What is a toy that you collect or used to collect?
=Oh, it reminds me of those paper dolls! I remember my sister and I used to play together and we had this paper dolls were we can buy at the store and buy more clothes for them. It was cute! We used to collect all of the dolls because all of them has names and then has their own style. I miss it.

7) Buddy, a 14-year-old Jack Russell Terrier, will be the first animal inducted into the Surf Dog Hall of Fame. Do you enjoy seeing animals do crazy stunts?
=Yes, I sure do! I think it is very interesting to watch and fun knowing that dogs can do different kinds of tricks that you never thought dogs could do.

8) September is Fall Hat Month. Do you like to wear hats? If so, what type of hats are your favorites?
=Well, sometimes I do but sometimes not. My favorites are the beret hat to wear during cold winter days, I also like military cap like hats to wear on summer times.

Q1 - Signature Item: If you were to open your own restaurant, what would be the 'signature' item on your menu?
=Seafood! It can be a choice of shrimps, crabs, lobster, mussels, and a lot more! I love seafood and so I were to open my own restaurant, this would be it. A seafood restaurant.

Q2 - Start-up: If you could choose anyone to start a business with, who would you choose and why?
=I would choose a family member. My mom is a cook and my sister is good on accounting, so I guess, to start a business with them could be a good idea to start and to do so.

Q3 - Labor Statistics: How many full- or part-time workers do you feel you do the work of?
=Maybe, about 13 to start of. Maybe, 3 cooks, 5 waitress, 1 front desk greeter and maybe about 2 bus boy, and 2 washers. I don't know if it's right, but I will look for some part timers too, maybe about 5 workers. So, about 20 workers is good.

My Winter Vacation is Approaching

The fall season is upon us. The stores are already stocking Halloween costumes and decorations. I’ve noticed the air outside is getting cooler. In fact, for the past few mornings, it’s been pretty chilly in the house, and today my children wore long sleeves. We’ve even had to start bringing our potted plants inside at night. Soon the leaves on the trees outside will begin changing color. I’ve always enjoyed seeing the leaves change their color from green to orange, or red, or yellow. I was born and raised in the Philippines, where it’s always warm, and didn’t arrive here in the United States until a few years ago after I met and married my husband, who is an American. That was the first time I ever saw leaves change color, and it intrigued me. Still, I prefer the warm weather of summer, and every winter, all winter, I long for higher temperatures. I don’t really like snow. That’s why I am so excited to be going to the Philippines for much of the winter season this year. I can’t wait, and I have begun planning our vacation very early.

We plan to visit the Pearl Farm Beach Resort, where we had our honeymoon almost 7 years ago. We love that place. My husband mostly remembers the 5-star food! We went scuba diving, charter fishing, sat in the Jacuzzi every night. It was a great time. We can’t wait to see it again. We also plan to visit Talikud Island, which is similar to Paradise Island, but cheaper. We will go to Paradise Island, as well. It’s always a good time there. And of course, we will visit my family and friends in the city. I can’t wait to see my parents. It’s been so long! And, my friends! It’s going to be so great. Party every night! Everyone will be meeting our children for the first time. There’s going to be lots of hugging and lots of tears of joy. And, I only have to endure a short time of cold winter before it all happens. It will be the best winter I’ve had in a while.

Sometimes I feel like the only person I know who finds reading history fascinating. It’s so full of amazing-yet-true stories of people driven to the edge and how they reacted to it. I keep telling friends that a good history book (as opposed to some of those textbooks in school that are all lists and dates) does everything a good novel does–it grips you with real characters doing amazing things.

Am I REALLY the only person who feels this way? When is the last time you read a history book? Historical biography? You know, something that took place in the past but was REAL.

=A lot of people not really quite interested with history since for them, it was boring. But on my part, I love history books. I love to experience what are those people a couple of century ago had been through with all of their daily living and how they able to face life in the hands of other people. You know the slavery, and all of these things associated with it. I'm quite interested with history particularly of how they died and what happened to them. Recently, I wasn't reading a book about history, but I was watching this show about history. The title was "Haunted History" which I learned about what happened to people before. It was very interesting. I like to read and watch shows that relates on real stories, facts is indeed very good to know about.

Q1 - Economy: The unemployment rate in the U.S. dropped slightly (by 1/10th of a point) to 8.9 percent in February, the Labor Department reported today. What do you feel is needed to stimulate our longterm economy?
= I don't know. When it comes to unemployment rate I couldn't think of any solution. Now, what was really the solution for unemployment if the economy was bad? How could we able to survive with this? I don't have any clue. I think to create more jobs, it has to start with the government to create more jobs so the private sector can produce it. Oh well...

Q2 - Rubber Stamp: Imagine for a moment that your hand has been replaced by a rubber stamp. What does it say?
=OMG! LOL! I wish I have this on my hand right now, so I could able to just stamp it if I wanted to say it!

=Well, maybe with Princess Diana. I wanted to know more about her, to ask a lot of questions too.

I don't think that I need to go into detail about why having three kids and a full-time business job is crazy. Needless to say, I'm always on the run doing something, whether if it's doing a conference call in the dining room or driving the kids to soccer practice. You could say that mom doesn't get a whole lot of alone time to herself. But I knew that getting into my lifestyle and when we decided that we wanted 3 kids. Back before we had kids, I read a lot during my free time. That's always been one of my favorite things to do.

I don't get that so much anymore, but I'm making some extra time to read The Help. I've had so many girlfriends recommend it to me that I looked up some reviews before buying it. When I was looking up reviews a few weeks ago, I ran across the site CLEARWIREWIMAX4g.COM. I read through it and after I showed it to my husband, we switched our internet service over to it.

Now I'm really excited about going and seeing The Help movie! I think I'm going to get some of my girlfriends together and see it one weekend.

Rating your life and covering your toilet paper

1) Veterinarians always say people should not feed their leftover food to their pets, but one of my dogs has eaten people food for his entire 16 years of life and has no health issues. Do you feel it's okay to feed people food to pets or should you always follow the vet's instructions?
=I think of what vet's has to say is to feed your pet some food that you exclusively buy at pet's store to spend hundreds of dollars! I think vet's are just wanted to gain something out of it. However, I was thinking of some ingredients though on the food we ate. Since monosodium glutamate is bad for dogs or cats. There's nothing wrong with feeding your dog with left overs. We did the same thing and we don't have any problems either.

2) Have you ever become addicted to a game (of any sort)? If so, what was it?
=Yes, once before when I first started facebooking. Some of the game was Farmville and Cafe where you cook food and sell them. It's so funny!

3) This week is World Breastfeeding Week. Should women be able to breastfeed in public places (assuming their covered up)?
=yes, why not! There's nothing wrong with breastfeeding as long as these women who breastfed won't show their chest on the public, you know. There are some nursing cover now you can buy.

4) It is National Clown Week. Because of my ex-husband, clowns freak me out. Have clowns ever scared you?
=Yes, I do! They're just not fun at all. I wonder why they were even at any party, they're freaks! LOL! I love magician even more.

5) If you became a spy and could pick anyone (living or dead, real or fictional) as your partner, who would it be?
=Well, I would love to be with James Bond because he has some cool gadgets!

6) Last week my boyfriend told me this, "I get life philosophy from pop culture." Where do you (or did you) get the majority of your life philosophy?
=Well, I get mine mostly based on what I grew up with. Basically from my parents...

7) My local newspaper did a story over the weekend about stories taxi cab drivers hear while driving passengers. It was a "taxi cab confessions" type story. Have you ever had a deep conversation with a cab driver?
=Nope! I never did! maybe some light chit chats but not really the whole time...

8) Cottonelle has introduced a toilet paper cover. (Watch a TV commercial here.) Do you think toilet paper should be hidden or is it okay for people to see it "naked" in your bathroom?
=LOL! Are you serious? What's the point! I couldn't get it at all. Why? Why do I have to spend more money! LOL! People just make up stuff in order to make more money out of poor people.

9) The Food Network's show "Meat & Potatoes" is rated "M" for "Meat." Many movies are rated "PG" for "Parental Guidance." Some video games are rated "E" for "Everyone." What is your life rated?
=Well, P...as parent! LOL!

=Getting married! LOL! I should've married sooner, I should finish my college degree first and get a job and work! Enjoy life of being single...

1) One of my favorite TV shows recently changed the actors who played two characters. Have you ever been bothered by a TV show or movie series changing actors who play a character you love?
=Yes, I do. I think it is not the same anymore, you think so? You learn to love the person playing the character, then all of a sudden they changed the actor. It seemed like you have to start all over again. I don't know if it's a big deal.

2) Who do you feel is the most influential person of your generation in terms of music?
=I think Lady Gaga and Katy Perry.

3) A coworker recently shared a link to a blog listing the "five things you should know before dating a journalist." As a journalist, I can honestly say the writer was spot-on. What are some things people should know before spending time with you?
=Well, they should learn who I was by spending time with me, I guess. I am frugal when it comes to things I bought which means I always have coupons with me. I love to window shop and look around, so expect to spend more time with me.

4) What is your opinion of denim jeans that are sold with pre-made rips and fading?
=I think they're very cool. I love the idea of fading jeans though, but not really with the ripping idea.

5) The United States Postal Service has announced a proposal to close many of its rural post offices. Are you someone who still goes to a post office? Would it upset you if your post office closed?
=Yes, I still do! If I sent packages and some international mails I still go to any postal offices here in our area.

=Picking my nose? LOL! No, just kidding. I don't know. I never noticed anything...yet.

=LOL! That's funny and scary! I wouldn't do that! Maybe, I would get a deodorant that keep my armpit from being stinky. I think it is normal for armpit to sweat, but if you don't like the idea, maybe turn the air con in full to prevent it. LOL!

10) I spent a couple hours Wednesday night hiccuping. What is your remedy to cure the hiccups? Everyone always has a different solution and none of them work for me.
=Hiccups is annoying, isn't it? Well, maybe to scary you and you will jump maybe that would work! Or to just wait until it's gone. Or maybe attempt to relax or stimulate the diaphragm tend to be the most effective as they say.

1) The Comic-Con International convention started Thursday in San Diego, featuring representatives from a variety of pop culture (sci-fi, horror, superhero comics, anime, etc.). Have you ever attended a convention (of any sort)? If so, what was it for?
=I think I attended once and it was all about writing. Different sort of writing and how to persuade people to read your article. It was very interesting knowing that it helped me to know what not and what needed to do in order to get or attract readers. It was a school convention when I was in high school, it was very interesting.

2) When you go to a movie theater with another person, which arm rest do you claim? The left or the right or do you need control of both of them?
=I think you own the one on your right. I think you can do whatever you needed to do as long as nobody sit on either of your side.

3) Recently a 10-pound chihuahua named Paco helped foil an armed store robbery in Altadena, California, (watch the surveillance video here). What breed of dog are you most scared of?
=Oh yeah! I saw a video of it. It was funny because those robbers seemed doesn't care about him. But, he was tough, huh! I was scared with big dogs such as German shepherded and Labrador.

4) When telemarketers call you, do they mispronounce your last name?
=Nope, they pronounced it very well! But, I don't care! I hated them, they're annoying!

5) The NBA and NFL lockout situations have been the talk of my office for weeks. Have you been following the lockout news? Are you concerned about how the negotiations will turn out?
=Nope! I never heard of it!

6) Sunday (July 24) is National Drive-Thru Day. What are your favorite restaurants to go through the drive-thru at? Are there any restaurants you wish had drive-thrus that don't?
=Well, I like the Starbucks and McDonalds drive thru. Yes, I have some couple restaurants that I wish had a drive thru such as Chili's and TGIF. They're my favorite restaurants to get something to drink.

7) In the book "It's Kind of a Funny Story" and the movie based on the book, the main character draws maps of people's brains. If a map was drawn of your brain, would would your map look like? Would it be like a city with well organized streets and big highways or would it be a rural area? Would there be rivers or mountains or parks?
=I think there would be beaches and nice mountains and garden. Also, some small shopping center where women can enjoy shopping! Maybe, like of a nice tropical area you can picture out!

8) What would you do if a talking cat showed up at your front door?
=I would scream to death! That would be so scary!

9) A recent study showed that the baby boomer generation (ages 47-65) does not think that they're "old." What age do you consider "old?"
=Well, I would consider old at about 60 or 70 years old.

10) If you could go back and change something about your teenage years, what would it be?
=Well, maybe to enjoy more of being single and not married until I'm 28 lol! Not 22. Oh well...

Speed Up Slow PC

Having trouble with your personal computer lately? If so, then you might want to do something about it. 1) When someone you know (or celebrities) get married, do you ever make bets on how long the marriage will last? It can be a real bet or just an unspoken thought to yourself.
=Well, sometimes I do make some comments especially on celebrities of how long they will last. One of the celebrity I mentioned one time when I heard about their marriage was of Jennifer Lopez and Marc Anthony. I think if the person had been divorced several times, I think it is not about the marriage that has problems but the main person in the marriage. I think if these people kept on marrying then divorcing, I would say, just keep your life single then and don't marry. It seems like a waste of time and money.

2) If you bought or were given a boat, what would you name it?
=I would name it Jfamily because we're the J family. All of our names starts with the letter J.

3) If you got a paint-by-number kit and made your own masterpiece would you claim it as your own work or admit it was a paint-by-number piece of artwork?
=I would claim it, there's nothing wrong not to.

4) Today (July 21) is "National Junk Food Day." What is your favorite junk food snack?
=I love Piattos (a Philippine snack) and Snikiddy latest snack of fries. It was delicious!

5) I recently saw a late night TV commercial advertising pocket-size travel catheters. I found it quite disturbing and disgusting to see it in the middle of my late night TV watching. What commercial bothers you greatly?
=Well, nothing really. I never seen that catheter commercial yet.

6) It seems like almost every movie anymore is available in 3-D. How do you feel about watching 3-D movies? Do you watch movies in 3-D when it's possible?
=It depends on what kind of movie is it. There are some movies that isn't great to watch on 3D, but sometimes I do appreciate watching movies on 3D. You can appreciate the difference of watching the movie from home unless you own a 3D TV.

7) I just went two weeks without a day off from work. Do you work too much? How many days have you worked in a row without a day off?
=Well, I did experience working without a day off before and it is very tiring. However, once you receive your pay check it's worth it. You would forget you work so hard last two weeks ago!

8) In Arkansas, it is illegal to keep alligators in bathtubs. What's the oddest law you ever heard of?
=I wonder about is there people really kept an alligator on their bath tub? If not, how come Arkansas made that law, somehow? It's indeed weird. Well, I think there's a law about in Missouri that it is illegal to request someone to "watch over" your car and it is not illegal to speed.

9) If you owned a retail store, what would you do to discourage people from stealing from you?
=I would put a camera everywhere inside the store...if that would work! duh! I don't know! Maybe, hired a security guards! LOL!

10) When someone you know is either getting married or having a baby and has created a store registry, do you buy them a gift straight off their registry, buy a gift card, or just go wild with your own gift ideas?
=Yes, I do buy stuff right from their registry, I don't really buy stuff that doesn't seem not what they need. Maybe, I would buy it from somewhere else cheaper, but I have to make sure it is the same stuff or something related to.

=I don't know. Maybe, I would disclaim those allegations that I am not. I don't know. I don't care.

=Yes! I would love it! I need a lot of them!

3) Last week the Federal Drug Administration approved new packaging for cigarette packs that it hopes will discourage people from smoking. Some of the labels are very graphic. Do you think this is going too far or do you think the FDA is doing a good thing by making these labels?
=Well, once the person is addicted to smoking, I don't think they will stop no matter what the warning would be. It takes a lot of time and work to make the person stopped smoking or even drinking.

4) Many people I've known have lost their TV remotes only to find them later in their freezers or refrigerators. Where is the weirdest place you've left your TV remote?
=Hmmm...that's really weird. Well, we never lost our remotes yet, but one time we were looking for it, and it was on a drawer in our bathroom.

5) What is something you do when you're sad/depressed that really cheers you up (or at least helps bring you somewhat out of your funk)?
=I'll go shopping!

6) If I asked your past romantic partners if you were emotionally open, what would they say about you?
=I'm sweet!

1) I keep hearing about some cell phone game called "Angry Birds." I've never played it, but I do know what it's like to deal with angry birds in my office's parking garage. Those things will viciously dive at your head. What do you think makes birds so angry?
=LOL! I also heard about this game, I tried to download it and play, but I can't take it. I don't understand why people are so addicted with this game. It was just so stupid. So sorry to say that, but it is! So, I deleted the application. Well, it reminds me of the show I watched last night for a couple of minutes which Eagles attacked people who walked by on some certain areas, I don't remember where it was. I think they just have this eagerness to be protective of their little ones, so I think that's why some angry birds attacked.

2) You've been asked to house-sit for someone (a friend, coworker, family member, whomever else it may be). Do you go snooping throughout the house or do you totally respect their privacy?
=Well, it depends if what was the full requirement of being a house sitter. If I really watched the house or the people living in it.

3) You turn on the news on your television and see the home you grew up in (or spent a large chuck of your childhood in) going down in flames. Are you sad that the house is on fire or happy that the house will no longer be standing?
=Yes, probably I will be sad.

4) Do you eat Oreos by taking them apart and licking out the cream first or do you bite right in? Do you dunk them in milk?
=I would bite right in. Nope, I don't drink milk with it.

5) Have you ever had to call 911 (or whatever emergency system your town has if you don't have 911)? If so, what for?
=Yes, I did call once 911. It was last January of this year, I was with my MIL at that time. When we came home to our house, I noticed our garage door was open. I thought someone broke in. So, before we walked in, I have to call 911 to make sure everything was alright. I thanked God it was just the door.

6) You and your significant other are out on a date at a fancy restaurant. The waitress brings your bill, and it's $75, but you notice that the waitress forgot to add the $16 dessert that you ordered to the bill. Do you go ahead and just pay the $75 or be honest and say that she forgot to add in the dessert?
=Well, I would be honest and tell her about it.

7) Are you a "fix-it-yourself" or a "call-somebody-to-fix-it" type of person?
=If I can fix it why not. If I can't, then I would call somebody to fix it. But mostly, I'm a fit-it-to yourself type of person, though.

8) HeroBuilders.com, a company that produces many political themed dolls has released now-ex-Congressman Anthony Weiner dolls -- one has anatomically correct genitals while the other has the freakish no-genitals look. Both are dressed in a gym shirt and shorts with a label that reads "Tweet This." If a company made a doll in your likeness, would you want it to be anatomically correct or not?
=LOL! Who cares! Well, maybe no....this is hilarious!

9) If you found an unmarked suitcase full of cash in the middle of the street, what would you do?
=I would bring it to the police...or at our house! LOL!

10) It's the middle of the night and you start getting text messages from an unknown number. The first says, "Hey sexy. Im thinkin about you. Whatcha wearin?" When you don't respond, several texts follow. Do you 1) shut off your phone, 2) text back saying they have the wrong number, or 3) play along for a bit and screw with the person?
=That seemed weird! I would call the person and asked him so he wasn't wasting his text messages anymore and mine too. If I received text messages, it would consume my monthly text messages, so I will call the guy and tell him to stop. He might send it at the wrong number. LOL!

Do you read books “meant” for other age groups? Adult books when you were a child; Young-Adult books now that you’re grown; Picture books just for kicks … You know … books not “meant” for you. Or do you pretty much stick to what’s written for people your age?

= Sometimes I do especially if it seemed so interesting to me. I love to read facts and true to life stories, literature, history, and even crimes books. I know it is too early for me to read those types of books, but they were really very interesting. I love it when I can't stop reading the books. I think I started reading books when I was 12 years old, really. My sister used to have romance pocketbooks and I started reading them when I was in between 12 and 13 years old. Of course, there are some romance, but I know what's my limitation are, so I don't really bother myself about it.

When I was in high school, I used to read romantic novel or books a lot, either English or Filipino pocketbooks. I enjoyed reading it during spare time at school. I don't really stick with those books I find boring. For me, I would read a book I could understand and not really necessarily can relate to.

And–the reverse of last week’s question. Name one book that you hope never, ever, ever gets made into a movie (no matter how good that movie might be).

=Let me think, well, I would consider the worst one which I hope was never ever gets made into a movie. It's a movie played by Tom Hanks, entitled The DaVinci Code. I never had to read the book, but I heard some controversy and hypes, but I think the movie wasn't that good enough to captured what's in the book. However, this signifies something else as what the controversial is all about. The film adaptation of the Dan Brown's bestselling novel goes out of its way to remain scrupulously faithful to its source material, and succeeds save for one crucial detail: it's improbably dull. The presentation is utterly bland, particularly for a mystery/treasure hunt tale.

However, I do not believe that any hypothesis set by the film is true, or that it was intent on undermining religious belief; I simply watch it for its fictional purposes. Overall, the film was not a disappointment (at least to the book). It was skillfully made, as were the plot development, special effects, suspense, and a multitude of other factors of film making.

Honestly, I feel that this was one of the worst movies I've ever watched. The story line was completely ridiculous, and I seriously debated whether to watch the movie until the end. I did, but I would never watch it again.

Garage Sale Shopping

Summer time is what most people do garage selling. I have seen that some of my neighbors have an ongoing garage selling right now which was mostly all of their old stuff was out of display for people to see and shop. I have never done a garage selling yet, but I went once with my sister in law and bought something for my son at that time. I remember the first thing I bought during that garage shopping, a toilet for potty. It was good experience though because I got the potty for cheap, I think $4 and its brand new, never been used. A lot of people put brand new stuff on garage selling which was good. Aside from that, there are some things I found too such as some trade show carpet and some logo canopy stuff. I thought they might be having a store before, I don’t know.

Anyway, I remember a friend of mine invited me to go to a garage selling too. She said that mostly she loves to go to a rich neighborhood to find a garage sale since most of their stuff was brand new and still in good shape. I thought that’s a good idea, so I planned to go garage buying and shopping with her. I also have plans to go to a trade show flooring experience where you can only shop at one place and all of the trade show selling is just around the corner. It was like a shopping mall.

Well, I think this is going to be a busy summer for me! I was thinking of getting a new carpet too. Or maybe some logo mats for our home since we badly needed a new one too.

A bazinga-worthy Wednesday

This week on W.T.F Wednesday:

1) It seems like a ton of restaurants have started having savory salads that include fruit (strawberries, mandarin oranges, grapes, apples, etc.) along with lettuce or some other leafy veggie. Frankly, I don't think fruit and veggies should mix on my plate, but apparently not everyone agrees with me. What is your take on salads with fruit?
=I think it is a good idea, but it always depend on what kind of fruits will be mixing with my salad. I preferred the old ways on salad though like garlic butter crouton, some meat on it, but I love the idea of mixing some mandarin oranges and some dried cranberries too, then add some raspberry vinaigrette would make the perfect salad.

2) I like to play this little game with myself (and sometimes friends) where I make up stories in my head about someone's secret sexual fetishes based on the way they look and my initial opinion of them. I once made the assumption that a certain female coworker was into dominatrix stuff and my theory just recently got confirmed, much to my disgust. If I were to meet you in person, what kind of fetish do you think I'd assume you'd be into?
=I don't know. That's sounds scary! I don't want to meet you! But, I rather want to since I wanted to know what would you think about my fetish would be because I don't really know.

3) A former coworker recently told me that he always wished he had the ability to stop time so he could do it during a company wide meeting and arrange all the bosses into a crazy orgy and when he un-stopped time they'd be caught in compromising positions. What would you do if you could stop time?
=I probably do something which I never thought it would create something unusual. I would love to turn back time and do something about those things I never expected. I would a lot of make ups too!

4) On an episode of "The Big Bang Theory," the character of Sheldon breaks into an arcade and plays in the ball pit for a while, which looks like a ton of fun to me. (Click here if you want to watch the scene.) If you were locked in an arcade for a night and could act like a carefree child, what games would you play or what activities would you do?
=I would probably spend most of the time playing guns and kill people! LOL! No, I would rather ride those "pretend" cars and planes...

5) If someone gave you an insider trading secret, would you risk getting caught and use the information to invest money in a business and rake in the cash?
=I think so, if that would give me and my family a good future, why not?

6) I came home from work last Friday night to find a massive crime scene at the drug dealer's house across the street. As I was trying to drive into my driveway, I saw two police officers throw a very tall, large man onto the ground, put handcuffs on him, and drag him to a police car. It was like an episode of "COPS" in front of me. Have you ever witnessed someone getting arrested? (Or, have you ever been arrested yourself?)
=Well, I never did, but once when we drove on a high way, someone got pulled over and she was being handcuffed as we passed by. That's the only real crime scene I saw, except on watching them on TV.

7) Food-eating challenges intrigue me (and apparently fans of the TV shows "Man vs. Food" and "Outrageous Food"). A local hot dog place will give you free hot dogs if you can eat 25 or more in an hour. I so think I could do it. Have you ever taken part in some sort of food eating contest or challenge?
=Nope, I never did!

8) Flash mobs seem to be happening everywhere all the time. What do you think is the appeal of being in a flash mob? This is a phenomenon I simply do not understand.
=Me either. I don't know how it works and why? It was just insensible to me. Please explain.

9) My younger brother disturbingly nicknamed my breasts "Pedro" and "Sanchez" one day; why they're named after Mexican men I don't know. Have you ever nicknamed a body part, of your own or someone else's?
=Nope, I never did.

10) Since I started my current job, I've met a lot of women who are shoe-obsessed. Apparently there's a difference between wearing shoes and loving shoes. Why do you think some women feel the need to own up to 100 or more pairs of shoes? Why do you think they will pay hundreds of dollars on a single pair?
=I think it is just because they wanted to be famous of having thousand of shoes. I think women have those tons of shoes due to the rewards program, something on sale, or even socializing. They have to wear different type of shoes every time they went to a party or something.

11) Would you pose completely naked for a magazine for $10,000?
=HAhahahaa! Well, if the magazine wanted me to, why not?

12) If I walked into your home at this exact moment, what would I see? Is it neat and clean, is it mostly clean with just a few things out of place, or is it like my house which always looks like a tornado went through?
=Well, you would see a vacuum on the living room, a baby swing, a bar chairs, a blue chair, couches, our kitchen table and our kitchen, lamps, and my son's toys.

I had to listened to some of the local radio way back in the Philippines and this song played during the day. It reminds me of some sweet memories during my childhood days.

Tomorrow, June 19th is a special day for all the Father's all over the world since it is the most awaited day for men and for everyone, a Father's day celebration. What is Father's day really is? Where it all started?

In my home country Philippines, in the Philippines, Father's Day is not an official holiday, but is widely observed on the 3rd Sunday of June. Most Filipinos born in the 1960s and 1970s did not celebrate Father's day but due to being under the influence of the United States as seen on television, the Filipinos most likely follow this tradition and other American holidays. The advent of the internet also helps in promoting this holiday to the Filipinos.

Here in US, this is the time to say thanks for all the support and love they give to the family throughout the year. The words to tell a dad how special he is can be hard to find. 1) You've won the unlimited use of a recreational vehicle for this weekend (including all the free gasoline you need). You must leave in an hour and have the RV back by 9 a.m. Monday morning. Where do you go and who do you take with you?
=I would probably go on a road trip to beautiful places here in Michigan. I never been to any parks, museums, lakes, and even to any other parts of the upper peninsula. Maybe, I will there together with my family.

2) You find out that a close friend who seems to the perfect marriage had an affair almost 10 years ago that resulted in a baby. It's been kept a secret from the public all this time, but the friend's spouse has obviously forgiven him/her. Does this change your opinion of your friend or his/her spouse?
=Well, if everything has been forgotten then it's not all worth it to dig out again. I think if I heard something from her, a reason why he/she cheated on her/her. Maybe that would make a difference.

3) What if the friend who had the affair and lovechild was also the minister at your church? Would that secret scandal change your answer to the last question?
=Maybe, it depends on the situation after the affair. If the minister still continuing his job as a minister, I guess it is not a condition at all. I think he or she needs to find another job, then he or she is not a good model anymore. Although, we're only human and always made mistakes, but this one is huge and I guess.

4) My boyfriend uses the predict text function on his phone, and it recently backfired. =No, I don't use them since they just irritating. They aren't really much of abig help though. Ok, I will check it out!

=Nope, I never did when I was staying at my parent's house. I never did something like it either way.

=LOL! Once yeah! I don't remember what it is though. Sorry, I have to dig my mind about it. But I know I did. It might be some animal or something. I don't recall anymore.

=Well, yes I did received several RAOK, and I also did the same thing.

=Maybe, when I talked a lot! LOL!

=Height! I'm scared with height! I always have this rush adrenaline every time. I also have a rush when my son was playing around by the lake, I was scared he might flip over or something. I'm exaggerating all the time.

10) Recently there has been quite a bit of focus on being friends with benefits. There was the recent movie "No Strings Attached" and this summer's upcoming movie "Friends With Benefits" with Justin Timberlake and Mila Kunis, and NBC is about to premiere a TV show also called "Friends With Benefits." Do you think two people can ever be just friends but have casual sex?
=Hmmm...maybe compare to the social status of today. A lot of teenager and matured people are open minded, never even think of sex as a holy thing to be kept until marriage and be between marriage couple. I think this time anything is possible whatever suits them.

11) I once composed an email to my now ex-husband griping about one of my co-workers saying she was a total bitch, but instead of sending it to him, I sent it to the co-worker by accident. Have you ever accidentally emailed someone insulting them when you meant to send it to someone else?
=Well, not email though, it was a text messages, I think it is a good thing that I sent it to him that to a friend. LOL! Since we were talking about him anyway.

If you could see one book turned into the perfect movie–one that would capture everything you love, the characters, the look, the feel, the story–what book would you choose?

= I already found the book that was for me was perfect compare to the book itself. Though, I wanted something more when I saw the movie first prior to reading the book itself. It was the book by Stephanie Meyer entitled “The Twilight Saga” series. Although, there are some changes and a few lacking scenes from the book, but I understand it since it may take a lot of work and it will consume a lot of time too. So, I think making it brief enough are already good for me. It captures everything I love about it, though the movie wasn’t really showing enough, but it’s contenting. I can also say the same thing on New Moon and Eclipse.

Now, I can’t wait for the fourth series, the Breaking Dawn. It must be a good one and exciting one. I can’t wait! I already finished reading all of the book series, so maybe this time, I could able to figure out what are the things that has been change or not. I also love the characters from the book and even more on the big screen.

It was just a perfect love story for me! I'm not really fond of vampires and wolves, but this one is captivating.

Craving for Sweets?

Before I got pregnant, I’m not really fond of eating sweets particularly candies such as chocolates covered candies, chocolate bars, and even sweet desserts. However, when I found out I was pregnant and had been on my 6 months of pregnancy, I’ve been started craving sweets particularly chocolate covered strawberries, then I’m starting to want something like a chocolate candy as such of truffles with melted milk chocolates inside that will melt inside your mouth, oh, so delicious! I know it sounds so crazy because then I might be prone to diabetes during my entire pregnancy, but that didn’t bother me at all, once I indulged myself with chocolate covered marshmallows. Good thing the last time, I went to my OB for my appointment and glucose test, I was negative with possible gestational diabetes. I’m so glad to hear about it.

Now, since I’m free with diabetes, I’m back on treating myself some chocolates again. This time I’m trying to not eat chocolates anymore due to a higher level of chemicals that might not be good on a developing baby, though I was being told that dark chocolates are much better, but I’m not doting on dark chocolates though. I rather have milk chocolate candies.

Well, maybe I will get myself some little bit of snacks right now; I was thinking of a candy bar that I found online. It’s a classic candy bar that has plenty of flavors from Milk Chocolate, Milk Chocolate with Almonds, Milk Chocolate with Toffee Nuggets or Dark Chocolate with Almonds. But, Milk Chocolate with Toffee Nuggets sounds good to me. Oh, I can’t help it! This baby is craving some sweets too!

I was browsing an Apple Store on my iPhone looking for free stuff such as free ringtone, TV episodes, movies and even music. I found some which I never heard before from new artists these days. Some of the song isn’t really famous, but they were good to listened to.

Somehow, it’s free anyway, so why complain, right? As I search along and browse, I found a music sung by the famous Manny “Pacman” Pacquiao, if you don’t have any idea who he was, well, he is a Filipino boxer who gained honored through being a champion on boxing. He has been fighting for the country, Philippines and a lot of people there and abroad admired him, but not with singing though. I listened to the song he sung which entitled “Sometimes When We Touch”, I was surprised, he doesn’t really have a gift of voice, and maybe he can just stay for boxing only. There, I will love him more.

The thing is, when someone got famous, a lot of them tried to make a music album and even worse than ever, they don’t have the talent of singing. Though some artists in the Philippines did the same thing, but be inclined it is not really fond to listen to. I think for Manny Pacquiao, I guess it is better for him to be a commercial model and a boxer, but definitely not a singer.

=Well, it depend I guess. A lot of books nowadays have been done nicely. For instance the book written by Stephanie Meyer, the Twilight Saga Series. The first book cover was a hand holding an apple which means something more. It shows a thrill about a book. You want to open the book and start reading it. Then, the second book was the same, as well as the third book and the last book. I also found some books/novels which represent the main characters of the story which you can picture out the looks of those main actors of the story. I think you can judge the book by its cover, but it depends on what book it is. Sometimes, a cover doesn't say that much unless you read the back of the book or the prologue.

Summer time means Pool Time

Summer time is almost here which means one thing, it is time for swimming! My son went to his Sibling class today and on our trip to the hospital where the class took place, he mentioned he wanted to go to the beach. Well, there are some beaches here in Michigan, but it is not really as what we could think about beach time. The state were sorrounded by lakes which is not really fun enough to go swimming. So what we need is really a pool. Pool is much better because it is cleaner and for me the best way to enjoy swimming time. I told my son we could go to a water park and swim. He agreed. I can't wait to go swimming too and enjoy more of the summer time as much as possible.

Anyway, if we could only have a backyard where we can able to buy our own pool. I have seen a lot of pool stores lately having a sale of pool which really makes me wanted to buy one, yet we don't have a backyard where we can placed a mounted pool. I wish we could. If we could only have a pool it could be a perfect summer for us. Then, if we have a pool we could get a safety pool covers to protect our pool during winter time.

Well, maybe we could go to my sister in law and used their pool. That would be a good idea I guess.

In a related question to last week’s–
I was reading the other day a quote from JFK Jr who said on the death of his mother, that she died surrounded by family, friends, and her books. Apparently, Jackie’s books were very much a part of HER, her personality, her sense of self.

Up until recently, people could browse your bookshelves and learn a lot about you–what your interests are, your range of topics, favorite authors, how much you read (or at least buy books).

More and more, though, this is changing. People aren’t buying books so much as borrowing them from the library. Or reading them on their e-readers or computers. There’s nothing PHYSICAL on the shelves to tell strangers in your home, for better or worse, who you ARE.

Do you think this is a good thing? Bad? Discuss!

=I think this is good, however, a lot of people have this e-readers or computers, or even this tablet that they used by uploading and using an application called iBook where you can read books for free, or buy books online without the real physical book itself. I noticed it is a lot cheaper too than any physical books. However, if people started using this high technology, I think what will happened to the paper publisher will be a lot of loss. As you remember, a lot of bookstore too closes due to the fact that most people don't read the physical books anymore. A lot of people thought that these high technology was much better because it is portable, easy to carry compare to books. Some libraries are down too which was so bad. It is bad!

As for me, I think it is important to keep the physical book since a lot of kids likes it than to use a tablet, a computer. I think we still have to value the paper book, the physical book itself.

Basketball Game Fanatic

For these past few days, a lot of people had been so much into basketball, a lot of my friends have been shouting about who win and lost the basketball game final season. I heard that Dallas Mavericks is 3 and Miami Heat is 2 and now they were looking forward to game 6 to see who will win this time and be the NBA new champion. It is going to be this coming June 14th. Everyone seemed so excited about it. I could tell because some of my Twitter and Facebook friends were tweeting and shouting about it which I could not stand anymore. I’m not a basketball fan, I understand the game, but I just don’t have the heart to keep on watching it every time.

Anyway, when I visited a friend last April in Miami, Florida, I found out that they loved to watch sport games on TV. I've noticed that they have a Satellite TV too which has a lot of sport channels than any other cable TV providers. So, I went online and found out about it at Localtv-Satellite.com. Having your own satellite TV can give you several of channels and a lot of choices! I wish I could able to replace our old cable TV provider so I could watch any channels I want at anytime. Or invite this friend of mine to visit us and then she could watch her favorite basketball game too during their stay. I know how they loved sports.

Well, aside from having the best cable TV provider, I think our first priority is to set our home security system first. I have to visit home security Shannon prior to obtaining a home security because I wanted to learn more about it. I just love to explore and learn new things because then I could able to find something that I really wanted. Well, as I always do with the Satellite TV. I think I need them both.

= Well, we have books in our basement for guests to read or wanted to read, but we also have some books in our bedroom for us to read, if we can't able to sleep or need something to read on. Yes, I have some books that I wanted the whole world to see, but it was in our basement. I don't have a bookcase on my living room, though, but if I could, then maybe I will display some of the books that inspired me. Some of the books of my favorite author like Watchman Nee, he is a Chinese Christian author and church leader during the early 20th century which wrote inspiring books. I also love some of the books written by Joice Meyer. I also have book series of my favorite books like the The Twilight Series by Stephanie Meyer, but I don't think I would display it, though. Not this type of books.

=I used Dell Inspiron 1525, I had it for almost three years now. I have been formatted it several times. We have a desktop computer but it was running so slow. It was a eMachine, the old version I guess from year 2004 or something. The monitor was still doing good, yet the computer wasn't working right. It maybe because of the memory or the processor it has. So, now, we depend most of our searching and my blogging through this laptop of mine. I wanted to get rid of it and buy a new one, but of course money is always the problem.

Though, I like it though, it's easy to use and fast, but sometimes after a couple of years I have to gave it up to get something new to avoid being out of track. Well, my Dell was still doing good right now. I don't have any problem with it except with the hard drive once, but when I formatted it, it turned out to be not a problem at all.

What’s the oddest thing you’ve ever read? (You know, something NOT a book, magazine, short story, poem or article.)

=Okey since we're talking about cereal, I would share those little books from the cereal box of Cheerios. I know we're not going to talk about books, but these books are just the oddest thing I've ever read. We never collected all of them except the Jump, The Purple Kangaroo, and No T-Rex in the Library. Every time I read them it made me confused what's behind those books. I thought they are just odd to read to the kids.

Well, let me think if I have something in mind that I have read that was something odd. Oh, now I remember. I think it was when I was in elementary where our teacher asked us to bring newspaper or any tabloid. One of my classmate brought a tabloid which was out of the ordinary. There we read some news about a big killer whale ever exist. It was as big as a the biggest ship. I couldn't forget about it since it was just shocked me.

It has been 7 years since I’ve been out of my country Philippines, since then I never had a chance to come and visit again. But throughout this year, I never forget the day that it became independent. Last June 12, 1898 in Kawit, Cavite, Philippines, the The Philippine Declaration of Independence occurred. With the public reading of the Act of the Declaration of Independence, Filipino revolutionary forces under General Emilio Aguinaldo proclaimed the sovereignty and independence of the Philippine Islands from the colonial rule of Spain, which had been recently defeated at the Battle of Manila Bay during the Spanish-American War.

The declaration, however, was neither recognized by the United States nor Spain.

The Spanish government later ceded the Philippines to the United States in the 1898 Treaty of Paris that ended the Spanish-American War. The United States finally recognized Philippine independence on July 4, 1946 in the Treaty of Manila. On July 4 was observed in the Philippines as Independence Day until August 4, 1964 when, upon the advice of historians and the urging of nationalists, President Diosdado Macapagal signed into law Republic Act No. 4166 designating June 12 as the country's Independence Day.

So, as today, June 12, The Philippines was celebrating the independence. Even the Filipino community here in Michigan was celebrating it too by going on a park and does picnicking. I missed it though, but I was there last year. I’m hoping next year I could come again and celebrate it with friends and delicious Filipino delicacies. It is an annual event that you don’t want to missed.

Series? Or Stand-alone books?

= It depends on the story. I love reading a book that has series on it since if the story was good just like the book Twilight, I really wanted to read more about it. No wonder the writer Stephanie Meyer wrote a second book and made a sequel out of the first book because she knew people love the story. Then, made a third one and then the last chapters which the climax of the story was getting better and better. I love the story like this and I think it was just perfect.

On the other hand, I also prefer stand-alone books which I find mostly on some pocketbooks. I think it is better for those stories that has short end, yet it only need one book, one story. I think I'm on both which always depend on what story it is.

The news has been horrifying and addictive this week, with catastrophe piled on catastrophe, to a degree that–if I had read this in a book or seen it in a movie–I’d be protesting that it was just too unlikely, too farfetched.

But, topics for novels get ripped from the headlines all the time. Or real-life events remind you of fiction (whether “believable” or not) that you’ve read but never expected to see. Or real life comes up with an event so unbelievable that it stretches you sense of reality.

Hmm … I can’t quite come up with an outright question to ask, but thinking about the theory of fiction and how it can affect and be affected by real world events can act as a buffer between the horrific events on the news and having to actually face that horror. So … what happens when the line between fiction and reality becomes all-too slim? Discuss!

=I haven’t read the book either and lately I’ve been not following the news and what was going except with the reality of trials of a tot mom. However, I wanted to share this TV show in the Philippines, called MMK (Maalala Mo Kaya) which means Would You Remember? It is a Philippine drama anthology program which tackled about people true to life stories. Since the people on the show were actors, I couldn’t deny the fact that sometimes life is too cruel and you can’t even imagine that a problem like such that I saw on every episodes actually happened to them. I thought it might be something made up or what, or just a fiction.

However, this show was true. They gather stories from various people who wanted to share their life stories and let the actors play the role. I do believe that sometimes fiction happened in reality. We can’t deny the fact that it will be possible. For over billions of people around the world, how cannot fiction and reality cross? I think it’s already been affected, it was just that there’s a lot of other things that need to be focused on.

Dining Table Decor

This week on Mellow Yellow Monday is all about my project, a new table decor. I decided to put some table decor on our dining table, therefore I bought this square decorative platter at Pier 1 the other day. I've been looking for the perfect platter to put all the fruits and a flower vase in and so glad I found it just like what I wanted.The platter is kind a cost me a lot of money for $39.99, but if you look at it, I think it's worst the price. Isn't it? It has a decor of four mosaic decor in it which I loved the most.

Here's the finish product of my planned decor. I put some of the fruits in it and flowers. I wish I have found a yellow daisies to match the platter. Maybe next time...

Our green, attractive office makeover

I think a lot of people have the wrong idea that going green means sacrificing style. But I think that there's enough evidence by now that's definitely not the case. I'm heading up the green committee at work and am working on transitioning our office into a beautiful but green working environment.

One reason that I chose to head up this committee is because I recently gave my home a green makeover and learned a whole lot in that process. So I'm applying some of that knowledge to our office space too. Beach Toys

This week on Mellow Yellow Monday is Beach time!

Last two weeks ago, my family went to a beach vacation in Florida for two weeks. We stayed at my father in law who lives in Naples, Florida. He has been living there for almost three years now and so far he loved the state. He lives nearby beaches too which was so easy for us to visit beaches whenever we wanted to. Most of the time we were there, we always went to the beach. As a matter of fact, we went to about five different beaches during our stay. It was fun and I loved the place too. You know you would love the place, the warm weather if you lived in the state like Michigan for almost 7 years which is always cold most of the time.

Anyway, during out stay, my son had so much fun too. He has been enjoying being in the beach and playing in the sand with his beach toys!

I noticed one thing too on his beach toys, most of them are yellow! Perfect for this week's Mellow Yellow Monday meme entry.

He loves playing in the sand, but he hated it when he had sand dust on his eyes.....:(((

Scrubs for Men

Most men these days find their career on medical field as well. Mostly we can find that women are more on health care industry due to the fact that most of the healthcare jobs are mainly in the office in front of the computer, and or in the field of technology. However, most men nowadays are in the field of either nursing, nursing assistant and even in a health care information technology.

About two years ago, when I took my nursing assistant course, I noticed that there’s only about five men are in my class and there are about 25 women. I thought men aren’t really into the field of healthcare, but I was wrong. Now a lot of men are into health care and I think that’s a good thing to know because most of the scrub store online is selling scrub for men now. Isn’t it a good news or what?

It's been a long time since I made my last post on this blog. I think March 2011 was the last time I made a post, eh? Wow! It's May already! Well, there's just a lot of things were going on for these past few days. Since my husband came home from Texas, we faced a lot of things, as his mother's death approached. It was a sad event for all of us. I've been out of blogging for a while too due to the fact that I'm dealing with the situation, with my studies and then with our beach vacation after to celebrate my birthday as well. Also, for my dear husband, from the downfall he went through after his mother's death. It was hard for all of them. I never experienced such ordeal, but I knew it was heart breaking.

Anyway, after our two weeks beach vacation last month, I also have to deal with my studies which finally ended last week! I'm so thankful. But, I know it is not over yet, since my pregnancy due date is approaching too. So, I have to deal with it again. Having too many blogs as well is killing my time. I couldn't able to update most of them which is so sad.

Well, I hope you bear with me and keep visiting my blog. I will try to make a posts here and update this blog as much as possible.

Barefoot Contessa is by far my favorite baking tv show on Direct tv DVR Offers Comparison. Ina Garten is the host of Barefoot Contessa, which is usually filmed at her own home in the Hamptons. Ina is a wonderful chef with many cookbooks to her name. On her show on satellite tv, she not only bakes but she also cooks delicious-looking meals. I especially like it when she bakes. On the show, Ina shows you in her own kitchen how to bake cakes, pies, cookies, and all kinds of baked goodies. She also cooks fish, beef stew, and great pasta salads like Pesto Pasta and Peas which I now make on a weekly basis for my refrigerator.

I love Barefoot Contessa because it takes place in such a beautiful setting. Many scenes are shown in Ina's beautiful flower garden, where she sometimes eats lunch with her friends. Even inside the house, it is very calm and peaceful, with everything neat and orderly. This is a great break if you have a house that is continually pulled apart by your children. Sometimes Ina makes goodies and brings them to her friends at their places of business or to eat on a boat with friends. If you haven't had a chance, you should give Barefoot Contessa a chance. =Well, I can't multi-task when I read something, but sometimes, if I could able to understand what I read sometimes I listened to music at the same time. I also watch shows on TV too.

Or is it just me, and you sit and do nothing but focus on what you’re reading?
=Mostly, I do focus on my reading particularly if it's written in English.

Playground Adventure

Last summer, we spent most of our outdoor adventure at the playground where wooden swing sets, tons of slides sizes to choose from based on height and ages, seesaws, horizontal ladder, and commercial little houses for toddler are available. It was a nice playground which has Small Park area where we can take a little stroll and enjoy the nature has to offer, however, sometimes it just has lots of kids and parents went there which sometimes it was so crowded, it became a chaos.

So, I thought we might need to find some new playground which I don’t really mind at all finding a new one until some kid bullied our son right in front of us. It was not a nice experience, so I finally decided and make a serious decision about it. I want to deal it very well, so I went online to look for some information and knowledge on how to deal with bullying and bully kid. After reading a lot of articles and theories online, I came up to a point and realized that it is better for us to stop going on that one particular play ground we used to go and look for a new playground.

Anyway, after a couple of chances and visits to various commercial playgrounds, we finally found the one that we will probably keep for the rest of the summer last year. It was a small commercial playground and not really as big as what we found first, but it has all the swing sets, slides, small houses and see saws for children and hanging out area for parents where they can able to watch their kids at the same time while sitting and enjoying the warm sunny weather. It was nice to know that due to our patience of looking for the best play ground for our son, we found one and it is actually way closer to where we lived too.

Now, we can’t wait to bring back our son this summer to the new playground we found just for another enjoyable outdoor adventure for him this year while enjoying the idea of having a new bundle of joy as well for all of us!

Cheating

Do you cheat and peek at the ends of books? (Come on, be honest.)
= Well, before I start answering this question, I will honestly tell you that I don't like to peek ahead at the end of the books. I always wanted to suspense. However, if there's a book that seemed the rest of the chapters are not worthy reading for, I usually decided to just to wrapped it up in that I have to peek ahead. Sometimes I just need to look a few pages ahead to make sure one of the characters, I love is going to make it safely through a bad situation or survive. Other times, I just skip to the last page of the book to make sure things turn out okay in the end.

Mostly, I just wait knowing that it could lead to something better, excitement, suspense, surprises, and all. Nonetheless, I'll slow down my progress because there will be no element of suspense to propel me through the pages. Also, I do peek at the end of the book when it's a school books which I have to learn in advance and read it in advance.

=I don't know, maybe an animal form like a dog or cat...I don't know. I thought of American Eagle too! Or maybe a female parrot, so I could still communicate lol!

2. For some reason, all artists have self-esteem issues.
Do you have any self esteem issues? Do tell. (Since we all do.)
=Well, yes sometimes. It always depends though. But,I have pride with being a mom to a smart boy, to a loving husband and for being one of the children of God.

3. I am the American Dream. I am the epitome of what the American Dream basically said. It said, you could come from anywhere and be anything you want in this country. That's exactly what I've done.
Do you believe in the American Dream or has it passed through time?
=Yes, I do! It always starts in you of what you can do it about it. It always starts in you if what you want to do to live that American dream. I don't think I could be able to do it yet since I'm not a US citizen, but I think I will to fully enjoy what American dream has to offer or not.

4. I don't have pet peeves, I have whole kennels of irritation.
It's been asked before, probably weekly, but what's irritating you today?
=Well, I think it was the cold weather. It was just annoying that you need to throw the garbage out, yet you have to deal with cold even just for a while. It was overwhelming. I can't wait to get warmer soon.

5. I don't look like Halle Berry. But chances are, she's going to end up looking like me.
What do you think you'll end up looking like? (A picture would help.)
=I think I would looked like my mom...too bad I don't have some new and recent picture of her now on my computer. Maybe, will update this post later, if I got a picture of her.

6. I grew up in a time when it would never have occurred to anyone to tell me there was anything I couldn't do.
Has anyone told you that you could not do something?
=Nope! Not that I knew and heard and remember of. Maybe, I could hear it from myself, but with somebody else, I don't think so.

Is there anybody dead that you'd like to talk to?
=Well, that scared me! LOL! I don't want dead to talk to me lol! But, I want to meet my husband's maternal grandmother who passed away a couple of years ago, before I met my husband. I just want to meet her and talk to her, since I heard some good things about her from her grand children.

8. If every American donated five hours a week, it would equal the labor of 20 million full-time volunteers.
Have you ever done volunteer work?
=Nope, I wish I could. Maybe, if I could drive on my own, I would probably will. Since I did it before when I was still in the Philippines. I volunteered to prepare food for students who work hard on the field to plant trees, then give them water to drinks. It was a lot of work, but it was fun!

9. It's being willing to walk away that gives you strength and power - if you're willing to accept the consequences of doing what you want to do.
Have you ever walked away from a job and regretted it?
=Yes. Once when I was about 16 years old. I worked once in a fast food chain, and I just quit and they never heard from me again. It was an AWOL...eventually. I wish I stayed and work even more.

Are you normal? Explain.
=Yes, I do! I guess. Every person has their own way of what normality is all about for them. I think I'm quite normal in my own way of living as long as it's not a problem to the society or to yourself.

Have you know someone who suffer from an ongoing cough or a cough that produces large amounts of mucus, also shortness of breath, especially with physical activity, wheezing or chest tightness? If so then they might have the common COPD symptoms or called chronic obstructive pulmonary disease. As I learned more about this disease, it reminds me of my mother in law as well. I never knew about this illness until I looked at it online and found out about its symptoms. My mother in law is a smoker and been smoking for almost 10 years now. Every time she smoked one cigarette at a time she needed it, she will cough as if there’s something stuck on her throat. It’s too hard to hear because it sounds like she was not doing anything about it at all. Sometimes when she coughs on public, people will look at her with cautious. As if she has an illness that was endemic. I felt so bad about her. I wish she would realize that she needs to do something about her smoking as well as her health.

Anyway, as I learned about COPD and some latest health information and news about it, I found out that COPD is customary on people who smoke and used to smoke, I thought my mother could be a victim of this illness, particularly if she has family who genetically been likely to develop COPD. She needs to see a doctor to make sure that she was doing well. All of her symptoms were just cause by cold weather or something. However, before she could able to go to a doctor, she needs to do something good about her smoking. Since quitting on smoking is the most important step she can take to treat COPD, if she might have one or she can able to talk with a doctor about programs and products that can help her quit. I felt so bad and I wanted to tell her about it.

Well, if you know someone as well who had been on the same situation as of my mother in law, do something too. Learn more about this disease before it's too late.

Q1 - Life: Talking about yours for a moment (i.e., the fact that you're among the living)... Do you think of life as a right or privilege, and how does your answer impact the way you live your life?
= I think it is the privilege to be alive and enjoy what God has to offer into this world. It could be a right knowing that living a life to eat and work just to survive. I think overall it is a privilege because if we define privilege, it means that is a right or advantage gained by birth, social position, effort, or concession. So it means that it can be both for some option which person has to choose and take during his life time.

Q2 - Unexplained: Incidents of mass animal deaths have been reported in the U.S. and around the world in the past two months. Thousands of dead birds fell from the sky in Arkansas on New Year's Eve, following a massive fish kill just 100 miles away days earlier. In the week following, other mass bird deaths were reported in nearby Louisiana and Kentucky. Birds were also reported to fall dead from the sky in Italy and Sweden, and more recently similar incidents have been reported in California and Alabama. Mass fish kills have also been reported in Chicago, Maryland, Brazil and New Zealand, along with 40,000 dead crabs that washed ashore on England beaches. Are you concerned about these incidents? What do you think is causing them?
=That is indeed unexplainable, though it may be for some reason that the extreme harsh weather condition or the bad air might cause these animals to die. Maybe, there are something wrong with those animals, we don't know that they might suffer from indigestion or something.

Q3 - College: According to the authors of the new book, Academically Adrift: Limited Learning on College Campuses, 45 percent of college students show no significant improvement in the key measures of critical thinking, complex reasoning and writing by the end of their sophomore years, while after four years, 36 percent of students do not demonstrate significant improvement. Do you feel college improved your critical thinking, complex reasoning and writing? If not, what did?
=I think I did! I learned a lot of things during my first and second year of college. I learned about the effective reading and writing. The critical reasoning and stuff. I think for those students who never learned and doesn't improve after they gone through those courses, maybe they were not facing any attention during the class. Or never done their school work all by themselves. I don't believe that concept.

Q4 - Exercise: Do you have a regular exercise routine? If not, what routine runs thru your head as being something you think or wish you could go do on a regular basis?
=Nope, I don't have any regular exercise routine. I only do live day by day. I wish I could able to go for a yoga class to maintain a good weight during my pregnancy. I wish I could able to do a walking exercises on a regular basis even though it is cold and freezing outside. You know something like that to keep me healthy and fit.

Something Old, Something New

All other things being equal–do you prefer used books? Or new books? (The physical speciman, that is, not the title.) Does your preference differentiate between a standard kind of used book, and a pristine, leather-bound copy?

= It always depend on what books and where I needed those books for. If its for school, I would rather buy used books knowing that books right now was too expensive to buy in new. So, I would rather buy used especially for those books who aren't my major courses. If I buy books that are new and I could able to use them again for the next few years, I would keep them rather than selling them. Most of the minor courses I took a couple of years ago which I bought new copy of hard book, I re-sale them, but keep the ones that I knew I could use again as a reference book.

Well, sometimes a lot of books right now was being revised but the only difference is, is that the cover. They changed something maybe or add new little information, but I think it is just not an excuse to buy the new book. If I own and can find a cheaper, same book, I would rather buy it than buying the new one that is about 10% more. It was just insensible. So ridiculous!

What’s the most romantic book you’ve ever read?
= I love reading romantic books which mostly I found out that some of them are the same, it was just they have different plot and characters. I mostly love to read seemed to be a real life romantic stories, but there's one book that I never read before and I knew wasn't real. It was the latest Twilight series by Stephanie Meyers. The story is exceptional, very sweet, and it was captivating. When I watched the movie for the first time, I can't wait to know more about it. So, I bought all the books series and read them all for only about two weeks! That's how crazy I am when I found out about this fantasy romantic book.

(Mind you, I don’t mean the hard-core stuff you hide in plain wrappers under your mattress. I mean True Love, Romance, deeply emotional, heart-tugging, and all that stuff.)
=I think I will consider the book as true love in case of what Bella feels towards Edward as well as the deeply emotional connection she had with Jacob. I think it also has the story of heart-tugging event during the third series of the book.

And, secondly, did you like it? Is it your usual kind of reading, or did it take you by surprise?
= I loved it! I can't wait to watch the fourth book on the big screen as well. I can't just get enough of Bella and Edward love story!

1. Abstinence, being faithful and correct and consistent condom use are the only ways to successfully reach everyone when discussing HIV prevention. I believe that the abstinence message alone does not solve the AIDS epidemic.
Do you think there is any realistic point of trying to teach abstinence?
=I think so because abstinence is important at some point which was helpful in speaking if a couple is in a long distance relationship due to work or health issues. I think it is important to learn in order to understand what abstinence is all about.

2. And when I started to get wind of the fact that they actually liked me being around. That was humbling, because Kentucky basketball is a big deal, and I am not the biggest fan - I am just the most notorious one.
What are you a fan of (sport or non-sport)?
=I'm not really a sport fan. I don't feel bad if I missed any sport games on TV.

3. Both my husband and I give a lot of ourselves in what we do because that is our public lives; but in my private life, I have an intrinsic right to be left alone.
How much alone time do you need in a relationship?
=Well, I think I already had those alone time when my husband is at work during the day. Then, I love being with him too. So, I think for five days of having an alone time is enough already.

4. I did a lot of hiking and I loved it.
What outdoor activity is your favorite?
=I loved strolling at the bike path with my loved one. I do love picnicking and going to the beach and hang out.

5. I get lonely when I'm a Playstation widow.
What video games are you into?
=I don't pkay video games actually. I don't have plans to buy one either because I don't want to get addicted to it and can't do anything work around the house.

6. I think it's easy for me to connect to some people, and I don't know if that's the same thing as falling in love whereas before, I might have said it was.
Tell us about a time that you thought you were in love, only to find out that it was only physical attraction?
=Maybe, when I had a crush on my school mate about 11 years ago. I thought I loved him, but it was only about physical attraction because when I found out something about his physical like armpit odor I was totally turned off. So, I thought it was just a physical attraction.

7. I think that being perceptive and having interests is nothing but an asset.
How perceptive are you with new people in you meet?
=Well, I'm not really good at it, but I can figure out what people likes and what they are through their actions. But, it is too hard to read people for the first time, so...

8. I think that, as with marriage, you just know when it's time to have kids.
If you have kids was it because you were ready? If not when did you decide that?
=Well, actually all of my kids were accident babies. We never planned them. If we do make plan it never worked out. So, I thought I rather just do it in action than planning it.

9. It's up to us to take pop culture back and to express quality and dignity for both boys and girls.
What’s the best of pop culture that works for you in 2011?
=Maybe, music, I still love today's new music, though I'm not really into some clothing collection, but I can able to deal with it.

10. No, I don't tolerate pressure from anyone about anything.
When was the time that someone made you feel pressured?
=Well, maybe when I have to call my husband every night and sometimes it's tiring to call every night, but I'm glad to hear his voice every time we talked since we were apart for almost 2 months now due to his work. So, but sometimes it's pressuring me, but it's alright...maybe I was just tired..or want him to miss me or something...

=Well, yes. I knew some women that was a victim of violence, though it was not really a physical abuse, but more often on emotional abuse. It seemed like verbal abuse has been the most famous form of domestic violence I guess which most people had not care about.

2. I became obsessed with all these women who die never feeling they did anything extraordinary with their lives.
What woman do you feel has made a significant contribution to society over the last decade?
=I think women who helped other women and kids to revive their lives after what they had gone through. Like of Princess Diana...

3. I have a farm and I love it there. There's really nothing to do, but even watching the chickens, its fun.
Have you ever considered life on a farm (perhaps with a pig named Arnold)?
=Well, yes. It was fun I guess. But, I don't think I would live life like that since I am more on a city person. I grew up with chicken, turkeys, dogs, and pigs that my parents wee taken good care of way back when I was still in the Philippines. We don't have a farm, but we make our place like it despite the small area for these animals to grew up to.

4. I proved to myself that if I believe in something and set my mind to it I could actually accomplish it.
Do you think that’s true of everybody in all situations?
=Yes, I think faith has something to do with people who accomplish what they had enjoyed right now. So, if you have faith and patience that you can do anything despite the obstacles and trials all the way to accomplishing your purpose, then it will happen.

5. I really do love Diana Ross; I grew up listening to her records. I grew up in a little town in Mexico, so while we got the music, we never got the experience of watching her.

=I love Whitney Houston, she got a great voice, I loved all her music...

How much time to you spend getting “sexy” for a partner?
=If I feel it, if I'm the mood to show to my husband some flirtatious moves. I do try to be sexy for my man. It worked excellently for me! I was effective I guess for him. For the past few months, I did. But, I stopped when I got pregnant! LOL! You see, it worked!

7. I'm good at working, but I'm very good at playing.
How do balance work and play in your life?
=It was well balance I guess. I worked online and sometimes I do play online games online too which I always put in balance for once in a while.

Getting Pool this coming Summer

Last week, we seemed got a nice spring like weather, yet it’s all disappear when the second batch of snow fell last Monday here in Michigan which approximately accumulated a snow for up to 10 inches.

However, it won’t stop us from enjoying what cold weather has to offer. As of now, we enjoyed sledding, skiing, and even built some snow man. I know snow won’t last very long. I found out that spring will soon be here and it means that cold weather will get better. Then, summer would be here on a nick of time without even knowing it and that excites me a lot.

This summer, my husband and I planned to go on a vacation, but we didn’t know where yet. Since we loved to hang out at the beach, water park, or stroll in the park during summer time, we were thinking of getting floats too for our son to be use in a swimming pool or at the beach with us.

So, I went online today to look for some floaters and I found some at PC Pools website. They have wide selection of floaters and inflatable which I never thought I could find online. They have this nice loungers too and some floaters which was nice when I want some sun bathing at the same time.

Chuggington Lover

This week on Mellow Yellow Monday...

Chuggington is an international computer-animated television series for children. In the United States, the program was originally part of the Playhouse Disney daily block intended for preschoolers.

The series is set in the fictional town of Chuggington, and follows the adventures of three young trainee anthropomorphic locomotives, (or "chuggers" as they are called in the show), called Wilson, Brewster and Koko; they are cartoon versions of American, British and Japanese locomotives of the 1960s. Other engine characters also appear in the episodes; no road vehicles are shown.

Therefore, my son was so into it since he first saw it on TV and play online games at PlayHouse Disney intractive games online. He became more involved with Chuggington when I won one of the giveaways I joined online which I won a prize pack! Since then, my son was indeed enjoyed it a lot!

He got more interested when I also received a interactive book from Chuggington which he could play all the music, sounds, and voices. He loved it so much as he loves all the chuggers!

But, one thing I figured out, red and YELLOW color are part of this game and I wonder why...

Most of my friends went to school to be a registered nurse someday which I also did for the past few days, but I never did finish. I actually switch to another course this semester to be a health information technician. I thought maybe being a nurse is not really my preference, therefore, I look for something that for me was related to management. I found it on being a health information technician which I could get several courses in a university to be in a health information management field. I know that being a health care always be a good opportunity, always have open jobs in the future. I also like to be in a health care due to the uniform. I just love the idea of medical scrubs.

Wearing a health care uniforms was just so cool! People will think that I was a nurse or a nursing student. I don’t know there’s some respect in those uniforms. Once I bought some medical uniform at one of the scrub stores online last year because I needed it at one of my nursing assistant class. All of us were wearing the same blue scrubs at the classroom which was so cool.

Then, a couple of days ago, a friend of mine who pursue schooling to be an RN also bought her new uniform online. I think most people who went to a health care industry are buying their medical uniforms online now. I think it is just very convenient to everyone to just buy scrubs online because sometimes there are a lot of options and design to choose from and some of the products are affordable and yet made with good quality material.

About a year ago, my sister in law was planning to sell her house; it was on the market for more than a year. Unfortunately during those times that the house was in the market, it was not readily salable due to the fact that most houses during those years were inexpensive. I think this is good news for everyone who had planned to sell their homes at certain amount which they could get a gain and profit which means a good future for property owners.

=When it comes to picking what scents is perfect for our home, I always choose the fruity like smell or even vanilla or nature scent. Sometimes, I’m always being so specific on what scent matched or perfect for certain areas of our home. Like in the living room, a fruity like scent is perfect such as the Caribbean salsa and escape candles by Slatkin & Co from Bath and Body Works. I also love the fresh linen scent as well if it’s a room spray. Sometimes, I love to use an oil warmer too when it comes to bedrooms which for me the perfect oil fragrances are the pineapple mango and Eucalyptus Mint very comforting scents.

Also, I put some candles on our dining table too. So glad Bath and Body works has 1.6 oz candles now which was so economical. I loved it. Some of my favorite scents for these are the Vanilla Coconut and Island Margarita. Oh, I love these scents so much!

What’s the largest, thickest, heaviest book you ever read? Was it because you had to? For pleasure? For school?

=What’s the largest, thickest, heaviest book you ever read? Was it because you had to? For pleasure? For school?

=Largest? Well, it was my book for my Physiology and Anatomy class last semester. It was so thick and heavy, oh, my gosh; I need to carry a back pack in order to make it easier for me, but never stayed that way. My back was hurting after a week because of this. Plus, I also have other book which was for my other class.
Although, I have to carry the book for only three times a week, but it was just too much for me. I wish they have a manual for it so that we need to carry it all the time. You know lighter pages, or cover instead of a hardcover. It was a nightmare. So I had to buy another bag for it with wheels in it, so that I will just push them. It was not a pleasurable at all.

Well, once I had a good time borrowing a book from my sister in law’s mom last time we went for thanksgiving about two years ago. It was a book about mysteries and miracles, it was very interesting. So, I borrowed it even though it was as much twice heavier than my biology book. I asked my husband to carry it for me to put in the car because it was too much for my small bare hands. But, I had so much fun reading it. It was very interesting.

Now, I’m not sure what the title is. I don’t remember anymore. I apologize.
