BTT: Blurb

It's time for Booking Through Thursday! And this week's question is:
Something I’ve been thinking about lately: “What words/phrases in a blurb make a book irresistible? What words/phrases will make you put the book back down immediately?”
I like to read books on Physics, Theoretical Physics, Astronomy, Statistical Study, and Mathematics, and other sciences as well. Some words or phrases in the blurbs that make books with these topics irresistible to me might be, "more advanced", or "unique explanation", or "brilliant discovery" - something that tells me that if the subject ever comes up in a conversation with family or friends, I can sound like a genius. (As long as they didn't read the same book.)
Along the same lines, some words or phrases in the blurb that would make me put the book back down might include, "The author must be joking", or "hilariously funny", "This millenium's worst", or even, "a tediously meticulous work" (aka: BORING!).
