Eggs, French fries and Gravy

Here's my weekly Four Food on Friday entry. Here are this week’s four questions as well.
#1. Egg salad or deviled eggs. How do you prepare?
~I preferred both of them. I love Egg salad and deviled eggs as well. They were both so perfect!
#2. French fries. Do you make homemade or frozen?
~We did preferred home made fries. My husband always ask me to just cook a home made fries than buying frozen fries. It just the taste is so different. It is good to just eat fresh always!
#3. Gravy. What do you use - homemade, jar, can or from a package?
~ I just rather make gravy sauce. But sometimes, I just preferred gravy in a package, since it is just so easy and quick.
#4. Share a recipe for a hot (temperature, not spice) dish.

I wanted to share to you a recipe called Boiled Beef.
We always cooked in the Philippines, since we always love the beef's soup, especially after it was boiled. Also, this is perfect recipe for those nursing moms out there to have more milk for the babies!

Ingredients

* 1 1/2 lb. beef cut into 2X2 inch pieces
* 2 cubes beef boullion or beef stock (plain water would suffice)
* 1 tsp. peppercorns
* 1 small onion chopped
* 2 medium-sized carrots cut into quarters lenghtwise
* 3 medium-sized potatoes cut into quarters
* 1 small head of bok choy (pechay) (optional if not available)
* I small head of cabbage cut into quarters
* salt and pepper to taste

Directions
Boil beef, peppercorns and onions in a pot with enough beef stock to cover the meat. Place lid on pot and simmer over medium heat. If you want more stock (sabaw), add more.
After 30 minutes of boiling, or if the meat is very tender, add carrots and potatoes. Boil for another 10-15 minutes.
When vegetables are done, add the rest of the ingredients and seasoning. Boil for another 5 minutes. Serve with rice.

Have fun!!

That sounds like how I make what I call stew. I am going to try making it with the peppercorns now. Sounds yummy.

That sounds very similar to my stew recipe, as well!
